Alicia Keys - "I'm Not Gay."
Alicia Keys answers the question concerning her sexuality for all those who have forever speculated about her and it. She states that she isn't gay, however, back in the day she could understand how folks would have gotten it twisted.
Alicia states "I was definitely rough around the edges. I look back at certain interviews and I'm like, 'Damn! Did I have to look that hard?" ..."I could see why people couldn't see the diamond in the rough"...."I know what I am. I know it's not true."
So there you have it from her own mouth... Alicia isn't gay. Maybe cool and down to earth but not gay.
Why does one suggest that being "rough around the edges" is connected to being gay? That's a little stereotyping in itself. Gay folks come in all sizes, shapes, styles, and personalities. come on alicia, you dont' have put down gay folks because you're defending yourself in the way you looked...
